Issue Position

Our seniors have spent their entire lives working hard and we owe them the dignity of protecting what they've earned. I'll fight for our seniors, because they deserve affordable healthcare and to retire with peace of mind. We must repeal the Senior Pension Tax, and protect state funded Medicaid and Medicare programs. I'll also fight for well-resourced and fully-staffed senior and community centers, and lower costs for prescription drugs by opening access to more generic medications. The high cost of prescription drugs impacts everyone in our community, irrespective of age. I support creating a Prescription Drug Consumer Protection Board, so drug companies can't hike the price of prescriptions with impunity.
